Velcan Energy plans a 210 MW hydel project in Purying village in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The project involves construction of 23.4 high dam across Yarjep river and about 3.7 kms long head race tunnel and a surface power house (210 MW).
The total land requirement for the project is 100 ha, while the total submergence area is 7 ha and catchment area of 1065 sq.kms. The project lies downstream of Pauk HEP and upstream of Tato-I HEP.
