Devi Energies Pvt Ltd is setting up a hydel project in Rupa town in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. The project involves setting up of 3 x 8 MW hydel project with a horizontal Francis Turbine. The Rupa Hydel project is built on across Phudung (Ziding Kho river), also known as a tributary of Bichom river.
The design head will be of 124 meters. The total power generated will be evacuated through 32 km of 132 KV line and will be sold to Department of Power, Arunachal Pradesh.
The project is nearing completion and is likely to be completed by end of this year.
