Jaypee Hydro Power Ltd is planning to construct 500 MW Hirong Hydro electric project across river Siyom in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The project involves construction of 133.50 m high concrete gravity dam across River Siyom, four bays of sluice type spillways with top sealing radial gates for floods, an underground power house to accommodate 4×125 MW units. The project will be a run-off-the river scheme.
